There is no snow yet, but it is cold and winterly. Today ist the last day of the year, in Germany called „Silvester“. We felt like walking and went out into the woods South-Eastern of Berlin. After walking quite a bit, we found a clearing called „Wunderblume“ („Wonder flower“) by the locals. The place is known of not having any groundwater, but strange enough, fruit trees thrive and prosper all around.
The children has fun putting doll girl Mira up all sorts of branches, knags, knobs and knurls. Mira (12″) wears a knitted cashmere sweater, floral pants, knitted sheep wool cuffs and hat, a dark green baby alpaca shawl with a button, and felt shoes. Her hair is made of Tibetan lambskin.
When we were at „Wunderblume“, we found the place being the favorite wallow of a herd of boars – the ground under the trees was all churned up. But the whole place was full of wonderful climbing trees and whimsical rotten knobs.
Now we are looking forward to the first snow and the new year!
